Leaving for Buffalo, NY to get married!

Today might be my last post for a while (well about a week and a half). I am leaving tomorrow to go back to my hometown to get married. =)

I am getting married to my boyfriend of 9 years on Saturday July 18, 09. We are getting married outside at Buffalo, NY's beautiful waterfront on a navy boat. Then we are parting after at a very cool and great restaurant called the Pearl Street Brewery.  

I just hope it doesn't rain, since it's been doing a lot of that lately. 

I know everything will go good because everything has it's way of working out.  

Looking for Cinderella, Snow White, and Fairy tale books.

In the mist of getting ready for my wedding, I have been looking for two books that I had when I was a child. The first one is Cinderella and the second is Snow White. Neither have the Disney character images on them. 

Both books are very old versions and had almost scary looking covers. I remember being sort of afraid when looking at theses books, but once read they became my favorite. 

I also had a very old fairy tale book that would love to find, but this is also impossible. I have looked on amazon. Since I do not know the titles or authors, I have been relying on images of the covers. 

As a child, I kept all my books clean. I never colored in them or tour the pages. It was my little sister who ruined my books. She colored on them and cut the characters out. I love her but she ruined all my books that I gave her. And don't get me started on my Barbies, that's a different day. Too Funny =)

Anyways, I will continue to look for these books. They were illustration masterpieces and a great collection for any child.

Newspaper Wedding Photo!

Well, I just sent in the chosen wedding photo for our newspaper announcement. I love the original which is in color, but I had to crop it down and change it to B & W for the newspaper. 

I chose to use a couples photo of Christopher and me, instead of one in my dress. Chris wanted to be in the photo as well, and I didn't care either way. This photo is actually from a friends wedding last year and I think it's so cute.

I can't believe it's almost here. Only 10 days! I haven't been painting at all and I really miss it. I have been doing sheating charts, place cards, and I need to make bows. Plus a list of things I still have to do. 

I am getting excited though and sad because I don't want it to end. I know that it will come and go so fast and I have been dreaming of this day for so long.

NYC 4th of July Fireworks and Wedding Bliss!

This was such a great weekend. My dad and sister came to visit me in NYC for the 4th of July and it was so fun. We went to the Macy's Fireworks Show which was amazing. This year they had the show on the Hudson River on the West side instead of having it on the East side. It was the anniversary for the Hudson, so they added 2 more barges and a ton more fireworks. They stretched across the whole sky. We had front row seats on one of the piers. We were so closed that the ashes were falling on us. It was a great weekend!

Now back to wedding reality. It's less then 2 weeks away and I still have so much to do. I need to make a seating list, place cards, I still do not know how I am doing to my hair, bows for chairs, and so much more. I probably shouldn't even be blogging =)
