New lowbrow Print, 8 x 10 inches, Trapped behind the hat

I just listed on Etsy my new limited edition print of my original painting, Trapped Behind the Hat. This painting is 24" x 36" and is painted in acrylic on canvas and framed. The original is currently at the Cosmopolitan art Gallery for the Halloween art show, Hells Commissary. 

This print is printed on Epson matte photo paper with archival ink. It is listed on Etsy alone, but all my prints can come framed if wanted. The print measures 8" x 10" and has white borders for easy framing.

Economic Woes Affecting Art Sales

I have noticed a huge loss and decrease in sales. I started my Etsy shop about a month ago and have had NO sales yet. I am still selling prints and have n upcoming show on Halloween, but the overall selling is low. I believe this is due to our countries economic issues. I would hop it's not because people don't want to buy art. I don't think that is the case though.

 

The holiday season is approaching, so I hope sales pick up. I would also hope that people would support their local small businesses and the handmade items for sale. A great site to find homemade items and art is Etsy. Buying from here not only supports small businesses but it supports the buying of quality handmade items.

Halloween Black Widow Gift Tags with red ribbon

Great Halloween Gift Tags

I have been seeing so many really unique and creative gift tags being made and decided to experiment with this item as well. Since Halloween is coming, I figured that this would be the perfect theme. I took my original drawing from my Halloween decorative wood block, and printed this image onto matte photo paper (the same paper I use for my prints). I made 5 tags, sizes 2.5" x 2.5" and tied a bright red ribbon onto each. They came out so cute and are up for sale on Etsy.

Halloween Gallery Show in Buffalo, NY

I will be in a group art show this October. The show is a Halloween themed show and costumes are preferred. The show opening is on October 31, 2008 at 8:00 p.m. at the Cosmopolitan art gallery in Buffalo, NY. I hope all can come if you are in the area.
